DON RAYMOND

State Director

How much is a man's life worth? What is the value of being a son, husband, father, a citizen and a worker? You cannot place a monetary figure on the worth of a man. I am the director of Brothers In Blue Re-Entry and we say to men who are incarcerated, "You have worth. You are valuable!" I want to show you through this website, the greatest investment you can make in these lives and one that will give you the greatest return. Invest in the life of a son, a husband, a father, a MAN.

JERRY RUZICKA

Program Manager

“My job is to help the Brothers In Blue members in their transformation from crime to Law abiding successful men. I do this by overseeing the counselors, all program components, volunteers, mentor training & special events. I hire inmates to work for us in the program area, giving them an opportunity to prove the life lessons they are learning. It is a great joy to see the men take hold of the tools we give and watch them live life the way it is supposed to be.”

STEW FREDERICK

Reentry Manager

"My focus has been program building in the Minimum Custody unit. This consists of working with the inmates, building cooperative relationships with DOC staff, helping volunteers and seeing men release into society. It is a great joy to see these men in society, fulfilling and living out life as a neighbor and contributor. I have the privilege of working with the men as they begin to care about others and focus on being servants instead of being selfish takers."

Mike Nodland

Drug and Alcohol Counselor

"The desire of my heart is to see men’s lives changed by a personal encounter with Christ, and as the Holy Spirit moves in them to change them from day to day into a totally different person. It is exciting to see marriages restored, relationships reunited and be a part of making neighbors for a safer Kansas."

Mike comes to us as a Behavioral Science and Regulatory Board licensed addiction counselor. He was a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Industrial Administration. He also attended and graduated from Bethel Seminary with a degree in Education. Finally he has done some post graduate work at Faith Baptist Bible Seminary in Nouthetic Counseling.

Mike has been married 39 years and has 3 children—all who were homeschooled. He was a volunteer with IFI and BIBR for 2+ years; and has been a Counselor with IFI/BIBR for 10 years.

Ken Williams

Drug and Alcohol Counselor

“I came to IFI back in 2009 as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. At the time I did know something about what God can do in a man’s life, because of what He has done in mine. Since then, I learned so much more about God’s transforming grace and how it is changing these men’s lives. It’s wonderful.

My occupation is working for the Lord. I can see God’s power at work in the lives of others, including myself. Thank you, Jesus. I pray that the mission continues in full force. It is very much needed.”

Ken comes to BIBR with an education in Substance Abuse Counseling from Kansas City Kansas Community College. He works with the men in the LCF Minimum Facility and acts as liaison to the KDOC staff in that camp.
